F.O.A.D., Broken Bones

Rating: 90%A1qZ1KSNzeL._SL1500_

Another huge influential band that crossed over to Thrash Metal from Hardcore Punk was Broken Bones. Founded in 1983 by exDischarge guitarist  Anthony ‘Bones’ Roberts. Broken Bones was another band that told it as it really was.

F.O.A.D. was released in 1987 and is a great example of a band crossing over to Thrash Metal from Hardcore Punk. Their musical style has influenced many Thrash Metal Bands including Anthrax and Slayer. It is also an underrated album as many people today, have forgotten this record or just are simply to young to have heard it.

When I first heard this album, it was shortly after it’s release. I do like “Decapitated 1t2” and “I.O.U. Nothing.” If you’re looking for something that’s different, but at the same time, is old school, then this record is for you. You can’t go wrong with F.O.A.D.
