Scream Dream: Ted Nugent

Rating: 95%

Scream_Dream.jpgIn 1980, “Scream Dream” was released. This album has everything from off the wall, funny, and weird lyrics such as “Wango Tango.” One thing is for sure, there are a lot of catchy chorus lines. There are so many songs that stand out on this album whether it be the opening “Wango Tango”, “Spit It Out”, or “flesh and Blood.”

This album also has power, it’s intensive, and just rocks. This album keeps up with the pace of Ted Nugent’s solo career and is what you expect from the Motorcity Madman. It has plenty of great solos and great riffs. I love the melodies and the Blues influences that you hear. I love the funkiness of “Terminus El Dorado” I also like the Rockabilly and Bluesy feel and the fast paced tempo of “Don’t Cry (I’ll Be Back Before You Know It Baby).”

Aside from Ted, you have Charlie Huhn on vocals and guitars, Dave Kiswiney on bass and Cliff Davies on drums. This is the last album of six that Ted released that has this explosive riffs and song structures. There’s plenty of good bass lines and drum lines. It’s pretty much petal to the metal and don’t turn back until the ride is over.
